Looking for a bridal MUA in Kolkata who specializes in this soft Bengali bridal style (open hair + kajal eyes) | Budget ~₹30k

Hi everyone!
I'm a November 2027 bride and have started exploring makeup artists in Kolkata. I've attached a few reference photos of the kind of look I absolutely love.

My vision is:
✨ Soft, elegant, skin-like base (not overly glam or cakey)
👁️ Defined** kajal/smoky eyes (not colorful eye makeup)
💄 Neutral/nude lips
💇‍
♀️ Open hair with soft wa**ves (or half-up style) instead of the traditional bun
❤️ Classic Bengali bridal vibe with modern, timeless makeup

I'm looking for recommendations for MUAs who can create this aesthetic consistently, preferably using real bride references rather than only model shoots.
Budget: Around ₹30,000 (can stretch a little if it's truly worth it).

A few questions:
Is there anyone you'd highly recommend for this style?
Do they offer a trial (hair + makeup preferred, but even makeup-only is fine)?
If you've personally booked them, how was your experience with longevity, hygiene, punctuality, and understanding your vision?
Any MUAs I should avoid?

Would really appreciate recommendations from real brides or anyone who's had first-hand experience. Thank you so much! 🤍

Working 12+ Hours Daily, Multiple Managers, Declining Health - What Would You Do?

Hi, I am from India & I think I’m losing my sanity and peace because of my job.
I’m based in India and have been with my company for 3 years. I’ve always given it my best—no escalations, positive client feedback, company awards, and even a promotion this cycle. But lately, that promotion feels more like a trap than a reward.
For the past few months, I’ve been working 12+ hours a day. I’m currently handling 3 different tracks simultaneously, and somehow everything is always "top priority." When my project workload slows down, my people lead assigns me product work and specifically asks me not to tell my project manager about it.
To make things worse, I’ve been reporting to two different project managers across these tracks. They have their own disagreements, and despite repeatedly communicating my bandwidth issues, both expect their work to come first. Everyone knows I’m overloaded, but nobody seems willing to address it.
I’ve raised this multiple times with my lead, and every conversation ends with, “I can’t do anything.”
The impact on my health has been severe. I barely sleep, I’m constantly thinking about work, and I’m working late into the night almost every day. I’ve developed symptoms that I never had before—high stress, low appetite, nausea, dizziness, and even tennis elbow. The pain in my arm has become so bad that parts of my left side sometimes feel numb.
I genuinely feel like I’m at my breaking point.
I’m planning to have one final conversation with my lead because I’m seriously considering resigning for medical reasons. The problem is that I don’t have much savings, my portfolio isn’t ready, and I’m terrified of what comes next. I have a 3-month notice period as well.
What hurts even more is that I don’t feel like I have much support. When I tried talking to my family, their response was basically, “This is part of life. Either tolerate it or switch jobs.”
The truth is, after working like this every day, I don’t even have the energy to open my laptop and prepare for interviews or work on my portfolio.
Has anyone here been in a similar situation? How did you know it was time to leave, and how did you handle the fear of quitting without having everything figured out?

Should I resign or wait it out?

I’m trying to understand if I’m overthinking this or if this situation is genuinely a red flag.

Recently, my manager mentioned that the team may be cut down. There was no clarity on timelines or criteria—just that they’ll be “closely monitoring” behavior, thinking, and innovation. Since then, things have changed a lot: constant micromanagement, daily trackers, and being asked to justify even short breaks (like 20–30 minutes).
For context, I work in a client-facing design role where most work is iterative. Requirements evolve, feedback takes time, and it’s not always linear. Despite that, there’s increasing pressure from leadership comparing timelines with AI—questioning why something takes days when “AI can do it in a day.”
A bit of background about my manager: he’s not great at pushing back on leadership. He doesn’t really take a stand or represent the team well, so all the pressure trickles down to us. This has been a pattern for a while.
Also, I’ve seen a pattern in the past where a few people were put on PIP and then eventually let go. That’s something I’m genuinely worried about—I don’t want to be in a position where I’m waiting for that to happen, especially since the process doesn’t seem very transparent or supportive.
What’s confusing is that I’ve consistently been told I’m a strong performer over the past few years, but it has never translated into promotions or growth.
Right now, the environment feels very overwhelming. I’m constantly anxious, struggling to focus, and honestly not feeling motivated to work anymore. On top of that, I don’t have a strong financial cushion, I have a 3-month notice period, and I have some major personal plans next year (including getting married). My health hasn’t been great either, which is making everything harder.

So I’m stuck between:
Staying and dealing with this uncertainty and pressure or resigning and using the notice period to look for something else (which feels risky given my finances)

- For people who’ve been in similar situations:
Does this sound like a clear layoff/PIP signal?
-Would you resign in this situation or wait until you have another offer?
-How do you deal with this kind of constant pressure and anxiety?

Would really appreciate honest advice.

I have an event this Sunday, so I specifically wanted to go to a store and try clothes out in person instead of ordering online and risking bad fits or delayed delivery.
But honestly, the experience of shopping as a plus-size woman in India is SO frustrating.
I spent HOURS searching on Myntra first and barely found anything appealing. Then I went to Gia at Westside thinking maybe I’d finally find something decent — and the experience was honestly disappointing.
Most of the clothes felt extremely outdated, the fits weren’t flattering at all, and nothing seemed designed to actually complement a plus-size body. It felt more like “hide your body” fashion instead of fashion that actually makes you feel confident.
And don’t even get me started on stock issues. XL and XXL sizes disappear instantly everywhere. If brands genuinely want to cater to plus-size customers, why is availability always such a struggle?
What makes it worse is seeing regular brands like Nuon, Wardrobe, etc. making trendy, stylish, body-hugging clothes while plus-size sections continue to get the most boring designs possible. It’s like brands think plus-size women don’t want to dress fashionably or feel attractive.
Why is the plus-size shopping experience always:
Outdated clothes

Bad fits

Limited stock

Overpriced options

Plus-size women deserve actual fashion too — not just “safe” clothing.
Also, if anyone from Bengaluru has recommendations for stores where I can actually go and try plus-size clothes offline before Sunday, PLEASE suggest some 😭 Looking for trendy western wear/party tops that are flattering and don’t look straight out of a corporate aunty collection.

Hi everyone, I’m a non-technical person, but leadership has asked us to register for the Claude certification, so I had to enroll as well.

I wanted to understand the assessment experience from those who have already taken it. How was the exam overall? Was it monitored/proctored, and is it similar to MyCompetency assessments?

Honestly, I’m not feeling very confident about it, so I’d really appreciate if you could share your experience and any tips.
