What Instrument materials should I invest/get into

Alright y'all, Im starting my Instrument rating and Im wondering what reading/study materials I should get into. I know KING ground school has a course, and my instructor said that it may be good to invest into. However I was also told, and shown that PilotsCafe and Foreflight have alot of good study material too. What should I go for? Do I need to buy some big instrument study guide book? Or can I get my information from free online sources like FlightInsight on Youtube?

Any guidance is Greatly appreciated!!

All right ladies’n gents, I present to you what could potentially be my first project. It’s a 1972 Plymouth duster factory 340 with a 727 and factory AC.

Now I know a bit about these cars, but I don’t know a whole lot about what to watch out for and what to look for. What should I go ahead in immediately replace when I get the car? It’s gonna need brakes I know that, that’s not an issue to me. What is an issue is what frame rust there could possibly be. It’s been in Texas for what I know,. And it does run I have seen it run personally, but I’m pretty sure I might have to worry about the fuel lines as well as the tank. I think the carburetor might be fine but besides all that, what accessories should I worry about? Water pump, radiator, power steering, etc. I needa make a budget and see if I really have what it takes to build this car back to its former glory. And what is a reliable place to buy parts from, for interior parts, like door handles, ignition stuff like that?

And to be clear while I would love to “restore it“ that’s gonna take a whole lot more dosh than I have. I really just wanna make it a nice cruiser/driving project.

Any and all help is extremely appreciated!
