How do you get over the loss of one of your ferals?

On Sunday we lost one of our ferals. He got sick on Friday and by Sunday he was gone. He started having seizures and by the time the neighbor got him to urgent care he was gone. We originally thought he just had a URI because he had some wheezing and all signs pointed to just that. Turns out he had very swollen lymph nodes and the vet there was concerned he had an infectious disease (still waiting on the test results to see what he had)

We both were working on getting him socialized and trusting us and we were so freaking close to getting him neutered and our goal was to adopt him out to someone because he really was a sweet guy. He was with me since October and he spent the winter in our shed with his friend who I ended up taking in since I was able to trap her and TNR and she ended up being a TNR fail since she didn't want to be back outside. My heart still hurts and every day at 6:30am he'd be at my back porch waiting for his wet food. I named him CJ since he looked like my indoor cat. I'll miss you buddy and I'll never forget you 😭

The amount of sodium she's eating is crazy!

Like are we for real right now??! That's over double the recommended dose for a day. Adults should limit it to 2300mg a day but preferably 1500mg. She's so worried about her protein when girlie should be worried about sodium and fiber for that fact. 7 grams seriously?

TNR cat inside the house now.

About 4 months ago I brought in a stray cat that I TNR over the winter months. I now have 4 cats so I added another litter box so we have 5 of them now. The problem is our newest addition doesn't always want to use the litter box. I put the litter box where she was going potty in hopes that she would get the hint and use that which worked for a little bit.

But now she's going potty on things that are left on the floor such as clothing and the bath mat in the bathroom. I know the obvious answer is to not leave things on the floor but sometimes it just happens. Any advice on how to get her to use the litter box again? Do those cat attractive things you sprinkle in the box help? To me it seems like she wants a litter box that's only "hers" but with 3 other cats in the house that's not going to happen.

I love her so much and getting rid of her isn't an option and it never will be but just having difficulty with how to navigate this situation. Do I get a 6th litter box? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated and needed! Thank you! And yes I've brought her to the vet and she's healthy as can be!

Half way to my goal!

I have nowhere else to share this but I'm officially down 32lbs and over half way to my goal of 198. I'm 5'10 female so I know my goal weight could be lower but when I started at 261 my goal was to get under 200lbs so when I reach that I will adjust as necessary. I started compounded on March 5th (at that time I lost 8lbs by myself already but it was a STRUGGLE) coming from a girl who has dealt with binge eating and food addiction my whole life as it was a way I dealt with my childhood trauma compounded tirzepatide has changed my life and I mean that wholeheartedly. Between this amazing drug and therapy my life has been changing for the better. I finally had the confidence to reach out for another job (and got hired!) I'm not this miserable person anymore trying to hide my large frame when I'm out in public. I just had to share my joy this morning with people who get it!
