My director recommended I go up a reed size recently, wondering how it’s supposed to feel because currently it’s somewhat harder to blow and I hear a lot of air/blowing and a sort of sandiness when I play.

I’m playing in both a jazz and concert band but cannot afford to stay buying jazz reeds separate from my classical reeds. What reeds would be good for playing both styles?

What reeds would be good for playing both in jazz and concert band? I don’t have the money to buy two separate reeds.
