Do you ever think that MOST developers will end up becoming AI engineers someday?
With AI already being used for pretty much everything now, app development, game development, web development, even just as someone to talk to, a lot of people in the future might just turn to AI instead of looking for someone to build things for them. And that naturally puts AI engineers in a really good spot in the industry. Not that every developer has to go that route though, using it as a tool works just as well.
But with new generations coming in, adapting to technology, aging with it, starting life where everything is already BUILT for them, there's a good chance they'll start thinking of ways to make everything simple even further. Just like most of the old generation did back then.
In my take, the market might just turn into a competition where the next generation of developers are the ones who actually build an AI that gets the job done for real. Whether that's being really good at assisting someone or just doing the whole thing on its own, honestly, who knows.
But what do you guys think about it?
