Tight hems!

Tight hems!

First time post. I made this lounge set yesterday. It fits really well, but the hems are tight (on the legs) and don’t stretch with the fabric. I’m definitely down to redo them. How should I sew them so they’re not so tight?

Drained (band aid advice)

Double meaning!

I have multiple little boils that come and go, some go permanently, but I have one big one in my armpit that has been there for a while and keeps refilling and draining. It was super painful and full the last few days, so I put a big boy bandaid on it and hoped it would pop overnight. It did! Lots of drainage, feeling much better, but it bled through the bandage and the bandages are problematic.

Question though, what bandages are you guys using? The ones I have that cover my boil always hurt the skin under the adhesive (taking layers of skin with it, can’t soften the adhesive with warm water and soap before removal), so I can’t wear them all the time. I use those big square “wound bandage” ones with a 2 inch gauze pad in the middle. This thing is still draining and I want to put something over it to contain and medicate it.

Opal

Hey all! This is Opal! Obv she’s a perfect little angel, but her feet smell like a litter box. We keep the boxes clean, so we’re not sure what’s up. Any advice on how I can keep her feet smelling as pretty as she is? TIA!

Mushrooms!

We bought a big bag of mushrooms on clearance today and have no idea what to do with them! They’re white mushrooms. I plan on adding them to our pasta tomorrow, but Any other suggestions?

BS Psych

I’m new to WGU and am about to start my BS in psych on July 1 and want to get it done in one term. I have an associates degree already so I’m already 24% done with the entire program once the transferable credits come in. Is this doable? Any recommendations?

Sort of first time watcher

So, I’ve watched Naruto since it started coming out on Toonami back in the mid 2000’s, and I watched a good bit of shippuden (150 eps?). My husband is a first time watcher and we’re currently getting through all the filler episodes, so it’s my first time seeing those. Did any of you all watch and enjoy all of them? We’re really enjoying them aside from 1 or 2 episodes 😂

If you enjoyed watching them, what were your favorite filler “arcs”?

▲ 1 r/ABA

So, I’ve been an RBT for 3.5, almost 4 years, working in home and in clinic. I currently work with 2 companies. One company that I’ve been with for almost 2 years is my preferred employer and is an in home position. This company has given me 2 clients in the last month and both families have discontinued services completely after a few days. One family cancelled services because I didn’t do things the way their old RBT did and didnt think I was a good fit, and the second had different expectations for what ABA would be. Is this common? Or am I doing something wrong?

Maybe important maybe not, I’m located in the American south and both families were very religious. I’m not religious, but I don’t advertise that at all, nor do I mention it. I’m told by my company to redirect religious conversations started by the families, since it isn’t professionally relevant. A third family I worked with at this company also cancelled services when the parents spent most of the session reciting bible verses to me and I politely and professionally redirected the conversation. The office had to speak with them about it, and that was their catalyst for cancelling services.
