One positive thing on the update

Think its cool we can now scroll back to the old bots rather than having to remember the name if we want to visit a bot we interacted with a long time ago to reread. Having to do thst or manipulate with hide character was annoying.

How do you guys all determine the start point of your stories?

Just a curious thought i had about others as my biggest problem writing is determining the start point of the story. I have details of morals/themes, have my story beats, I have important points to the characters, I have world lore, but its always where in the timeline/what scene is our opener that throws me and I spend the most time trying to pin down. So I was curious what others methods were.

For me its been this whole process of:

1st. going through each individual pivotal event to try to find a good time frame to tell the story.

2nd. Mark out all the pivotal moments in that time frame again with a reduced range eliminating any that require a build up to be interesting.

3rd. Eliminate any that are dependant on knowing character motivations already to understand what is happening in the scene.

4th. Try to choose from the remainder of the time frame interesting points to start in each that catch attention or would make a good story teller narration.

5th. Fully determine story style (solidify if I want this to be 1st/3rd person and if I want it to be told in a retroactive sense or an ongoing)

6th try to choose from highlighted potential scenes and points to open with.
