I just saw a map where apparantly Uruguay has a very high suicide rate. What's going on buddies. Why are you guys not ok? No seriously, what do you think causes this trend?

I have been a Squad-player since the 1.0 Alfa release. I loved that game and put a huge number of hours in it since its conception to full release. But a couple of years ago ( years after its release) an infantry update overhaul killed the game for me and my friends by purposefully introducing slow, clunky gunplay and RNG to force teamwork.

The goal was kinda intended to stop solo "run-and-gun" play but it ended up pissing a lot of people off because it alienated us experienced players who preferred the snappy, skill-based shooting of the earlier versions. By making our experience worse they hoped to make it more casual and noob-friendly by making aiming a shit experience for everyone.

Me and my friends used to teach new players the game and how to communicate and function as a squad and we had a lot of fun doing so. But now a lot of experienced players and SLs left the community which in-turn severely worsened the overall experience.

The devs/OWI has been inflating the player count with huge sales and doing relatively frequent free-weekends. Which goes as well as you might expect after an exodus of experienced players. Someone on the Squad subreddit once calculated the churn-rate of new players was around 50%.

I've been hearing very positive things about Arma Reforger and I'm curious if there are any former Squad players here that can chime in for me as to how the two compare!

tl;dr: Squad refugee missing the old Squad and looking at buying Arma as a replacement.

Season 1 and 2 were good apart from Juliana. But 4 is killing me. John Smith seems so different from S1-3 as well.

CM Storm QuickFire XT - Brown switches. My first experience with mech keyboards.

First of all I want to emphasize the amazing quality of this CM Storm QuickFire XT. It lasted a hell of a long time. I love that it is 100%, sturdy, simple and minimalistic in design. Shit is a fucking tank.

Sadly it has a detachble usb A cable port that through the years has become a bit of a failure point. I've tested different cables. Those aren't the problem. The USB A port itself just has gotten a bit loose.

Prying the metal holding tabs in the USB A connector works temporarily, but after 2-3 the issue persists. And everytime I'm busy with those tabs I fear one of them might snap.

What could be some fixes that don't require soldering?

Arya killing the NK could've worked... but was HORRIBLY EXECUTED.

Instead of Arya-ex-machina we could have had an amazing battle between Jon and the NK with Jon absolutely getting obliterated, barely holding his own against this primordial force.

Enter Arya. Seeing her only remaining brother struggle, she attempts to intervene. and backstab the NK. The NK sees her coming from miles away, swats her the fuck down and proceeds to almost killing Arya.

Jon, gruesomely wounded, risks whatever life he has left to stop the NK from killing his little sister and wounds the NK with his Valyrian sword. The NK loses his cold composure, becomes enraged and fully focusses on DOMINATING the wounded Jon who goes to the ground under the aggressive fury of the NK, barely able to up Longclaw..

And then, suddenly. Arya: *Stab*. The NK, shocked + hurt feels the valyrian steel dagger burning his core, turns around to exact vengeance on this little girl. *Swoosh* Jon promptly decapitates the hurt NK whose core was burning away.

Parallel to what happened between Ned Stark versus Arthur Dayne with Howland Reed intervening..

There. A better ending to the whole NK-saga. And I have zero creative qualifications.
