I am on a bus and a family of tourists just kept offering the bus driver higher amounts of money to avoid the route and take them straight to fisherman’s wharf.

Biking for transportation is fantastic, I do it daily. You absolutely have to be predictable, follow the traffic flow, wear a HELMET and at least be able to hear others especially cars in an intersection! I really don’t want to hear the news of another cyclist getting smoked:(
I did crit races for a few years, even through summers of massive training days I never wore earbuds.
