ope this is the right place to ask, my almost 3 year old has had a wandering eye. We notice it more when she looking at something farther away or when she’s tired. We have tried the patch and the eye drops.
Today the eye dr said let’s try glasses before surgery, he said she has a little astigmatism in the eye and that she is slightly farsighted. Like +1.50
My question is help me understand, if she’s if she’s far sighted wouldn’t her eye wander more when she she’s looking at something up close? Why does it wander if she’s looking farther away if she sees better far (I believe that’s what farsighted is)

So i posted the other day i found a kitten.
He goes to the vet in 2 days. But you know what is giving me anxiety? Rabies. How do I know he doesn’t have rabies. He’s friendly enough, doesn’t hiss doesn’t bite seems alert. But while I was picking fleas off him his nails have scratched me pretty good.
I’m a very anxious person. Now I’m losing sleep that I got rabies. Yikes.

My daughter 7 year old daughter has Tourette’s and suspected OCD, she also has the cursing tics and anxiety. But right now she’s telling me how she’s frustrated with her need to copy other people’s words and some times her own words. This is the first time she’s really expressed how frustrated she is. Does anyone else have this? Is it a part of the Tourette’s?

So my 7 year old had a tic attack last night. It’s been a while since she had one, any time she has had them seems to be a night. Can I ask, what causes your tic attacks? I know Tourette’s varies heavily, but just curious. My daughter has diagnosed with Tourette’s and suspected OCD she is embarrassed of her curse word tics when she’s playing with the neighborhood kids. I’m wondering if she is trying to suppress some of her tics and that is causing them to come out at night when we’re getting ready for bed.
Me again, my daughter is 7 and has Tourette’s syndrome.
She told me today that with her tics her brain literally says “do it! Do it!”
Anyone else experience something like that before a tic?

So she goes to gymnastics which is full of kids her age and also go to the park often.
Do you guys have your kids wear Tourette’s pins maybe? Or something like that? Idk if it’s a good idea or not..
Do you feel the need to say the curse word before you say it? My daughter has Tourette’s but I think she now has coprolalia, but she told me she feels she needs to say it and then will go to her room or somewhere and say it. (I have told her since then that going to her room isn’t necessary). She said she thinks it’s her tics making her do it.
Hi! My daughter is 7 years old and has Tourette’s. She’s been in a calm period for months. But now they are pretty amped up and she said she’s having “visions”
Like she just got a drink and she said she’s having visions to spill it on the floor. Does anyone else have that or maybe a clue what she’s talking about?
Also now and in the past at night she says she sees someone crawling on the floor but I think she’s just her being scared. (She’s does do therapy and sees neurologist)
But the drink thing is new.
How many of you have siblings with Tourette’s? I have 4 kids, my 7 year old daughter who was diagnosed last year and now my 10 year old is having tics constantly. Constantly head tilting and making a humming noise. I don’t think he’s faking, because it seems to be alllllll the time. Even when he’s out in the pool. I’m just curious what the odds are for him to start having tics only a year after his sister is diagnosed.
