I’m looking for 2–3 years of TBT data for F&O stocks and their derivatives so I can reconstruct the order book, run a simulator, and backtest some newly developed strats.

I know HFTs record this data, but I don’t think they would sell it. Is it better/cheaper to buy directly from the exchange, if available, or through a third party vendor?

Has anyone here bought TBT data for this purpose? What’s the best and most cost-effective source?

I moved here a few months ago after leaving my corporate job. I have a few side hustles,I thought I’d have time to actually meet people and build a social circle.

I’ve been going to Cult Gym for the last 3 months and barely even managed to make one gym buddy. People just don’t talk. 😭 There was a girl I used to chat with initially, but she stopped coming. Most of the guys seem either too reserved or way too egoistic to even have a normal conversation.

I’ve been exploring anti-aging methods for the last few years. I’m in my early 30s but still look quite young, mostly because of good genetics.

I’ve mainly been focusing on diet and fitness and eating healthy and clean. I’m now curious if anyone here follows any specific diet or takes any supplements for anti-aging. What has worked for you? Would really appreciate if you share them.

I had a strategy that used to work reasonably well by sweeping the book based on order flow in Nifty constituents. Basically, I’d look for strong one sided buying/selling pressure across constituents and take short-term positions in the corresponding ITM Nifty options.

The holding period was usually just 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Recently, the strategy has stopped behaving the way it used to. I went through tick by tick data for the last few expiries, and I can clearly see the index moving along with one sided buying/selling pressure in the constituents.

But the corresponding option often just doesn’t move past my average entry price, even when the underlying/index continues moving in the expected direction.

My guess is that since this pattern was fairly repetitive, HFTs/MMs may have picked up on it and started quoting more aggressively, making these small scalps much harder.

Would appreciate any insights from people who trade index options who work in HFT/MFT.

There’s been a lot of discussion around CAS among retail traders, but how is it impacting HFTs and market makers? With sudden spikes in options volume and hedging pressure, are MMs also taking a hit, or do they have ways to manage this?

My index options strategies have barely made any money, in fact, I’ve lost a decent amount this FY, so I’ve shut them down for now. Surprisingly, my stock options strategies have been generating decent returns.

Curious to know if any MFTs/LFTs are still consistently profitable in the current market. What are you trading?

I’ve been struggling from the last two months and lost a decent gains of last year. None of my earlier strats and even the new ones I’ve worked on are working.
