My cat knocked my whole bathroom shelf into the tub and I had to rebuild it from zero

So this happened last weekend and I'm still a little annoyed about it lol. My cat Milo jumped up on the little shelf above my bathroom sink to chase a moth or something, and the whole thing came down with him. Broke three bottles, cracked my favorite face wash pump, and left me standing there at 11pm sweeping up glass in my pajamas.

The annoying part is most of what broke was stuff I'd been using for years and just kept repurchasing without thinking twice. So now I basically had to start over, and I told myself I'd actually pay attention to what I was buying this time instead of grabbing the same bottles out of habit.

I didn't have a big budget for this since it was an unplanned expense, so I went to Target hoping to find some decent replacements without spending a fortune. Ended up walking out with the daily hydration moisturizer and a couple of their makeup wipes for under 15 bucks total. Genuinely didn't expect drugstore prices to line up with cruelty free stuff this easily, I always assumed that meant paying more.

For my face wash I picked up something from wet n wild's skin line since they had a small display near the register . It's nothing fancy but it does the job and my skin hasn't complained yet, which is honestly the bar at this point.

Still need to replace my body wash and shampoo since those didn't survive the fall either, so if anyone has budget friendly certified recommendations for those I'd take them. Kind of a silly way to end up rebuilding my whole routine but here we are, thanks Milo I guess.

I agreed to split a car with my cousin and now he's basically stolen it from me

So here's my situation. Me and my cousin decided last year to buy a used car together since we both needed one but couldn't afford a full one on our own. We put in equal money, about 4000 dollars each, and we agreed we would share it, like alternate weeks or whenever one of us needed it more.

For the first few months it worked fine. Then he got a girlfriend who lives kind of far from him, and slowly the car just started staying at his place all the time. First it was just for this week because she needs a ride somewhere, then it became every week, and now it's been almost two months and I haven't even seen the car once.

I brought it up to him a few times and he keeps saying things like yeah man I know, I'll bring it this weekend and then something always comes up. Last week I asked him straight up if I could use it for a family thing I had, and he said his girlfriend already needed it that day, like he didn't even think twice about saying no to me for MY car.

The annoying part is I can't really prove how much I paid since it was cash and there's no paper trail, and the car is registered under his name because at the time it was easier that way since he already had insurance set up. I didn't think about it then but now I realize that was a huge mistake.

I don't want to make this into a huge family drama because our moms are close and it'll turn into a whole thing, but I also paid half of that car and I'm basically walking or taking the bus everywhere while he's driving his girlfriend around in a car I helped pay for.

Has anyone been in something like this with family before? Do I just eat the loss and let it go, or is there some way to actually get what's mine here without blowing up the whole family?
