Do you ever tell yourself, “no you can’t say that”?

Do you ever find yourself telling yourself, “no, no, no don’t say that, you can’t say that” & feel like you tell yourself that so much you don’t even know the difference between what you should and shouldn’t say anymore, so you just keep SILENT, like so uncomfortably silent you have isolated yourself into oblivion?

(& to the what to say, what not to say bit, i mean like i wish everyone could all just speak freely, but srsly, to not get gawked at / stand out / pegged as odd / or just straight ignored)

So…. with all that in mind, it just seemed easier before to distinguish what would just glide under the radar, but now …. I can hardly tell the difference anymore.

& if you have felt this way have you been able to explain this to a neurotypical, ha

IOM in San Jose / Bay Area - What are you actually making?

Hi all, I’m considering moving to the San Jose / Bay Area and I am trying to get a realistic idea of what experienced IOM techs are actually making in that area.

For context, I have my CNIM and have 4 years of experience in spine/trauma cases. I would be interested in getting signed off on advanced cases if need be.

Any insight into relative salaries for the area would be very helpful! Feel free to DM me if you’d rather not share numbers publicly. Thank you!

Unknown scab/lodged thing in dog - what is this?

Screwworms have been found in TX & NM after being eradicated since 1966, i was recently at a lake on the OK/TX border & came home to find this on my dog. Went to the vet & he didn’t know what it was, thought maybe something lodged or a cyst or something but wasn’t sure. Do you know what this might be? My dog is fine, my vet squeezed it out. just want to know if anyone knows what this might be since screwworms are back in the us.
