Finished this DAC gem house as a gift for a family member. Luckily I saw it come back in stock last month and ordered one. It was fun to do for something to break up working on my larger canvas. Sealed it with Minwax Polycrylic to make sure drills won't come off.
The Peanuts holiday gem house was back in stock last month and I got one, should have ordered two. Kitted it up and did most of it in three and a half hours of my day today. Something to put a break in the 80 X 90 cm custom square drill I'm doing.

About halfway thru single placing 65,488 square drills on this 60 X 80 cm custom.
I sacrificed one of my canvases to test the sealers I had on hand. Please note this is not very scientific! I applied each sealer without thinning as evenly as I could and did not wipe any off. I left one section without sealer.

Total 7,021 drills 4 AB drills took 11 hours to complete. I used Forever Young zig zag rulers to get my drills kinda straight.
Was in my local Walmart decided to check out the DAC kits. I prefer square drills so my hopes were not too high. Sure enough all the canvases we round drills, but wait...
There in the upper corner was a square drill kit a little different than a canvas so I bought it.
Here are some pictures of the box, the contents, it kitted up, and prepared to start. It even came with peel and stick color labels. The rulers are Forever Young zig zag and they fit perfectly if anyone wants to know.

I have finished my sister-in-law projects. I have setup my drafting table for my larger kits. Now I am back to my 60 X 80 cm square drill custom from Heartful Diamonds. I am tucking the completed section under the pool noodle I will soon roll it on there. I use a ruler and fill in one color at a time. When I move the ruler I fill in the open areas and the ruler with the color at the same time as pictured.
Finished all the kits my sister-in-law sent from Amazon. Time to seal this one up and get it shipped.

Background:
On February 28th I placed my first DAC order it partially arrived on March 4th. The packing slip said I received all the things I ordered but I did not. I contacted DAC support at Midnight Pacific time and within 30 minutes they had created a new no charge order for the missing items. When I received them they had also sent this calendar kit free as a way of "making it right". Pretty good customer service in my opinion.
When I first started I was going to kit it all up but I discovered each month was individually kitted and the same number was different colors in different months. They were small enought I just decide to cut the original bag, empty it in the tray, apply drills, then put the leftovers in a resealable bag with the original indicating the color this was much more efficient. In the pictures are all the tools I used, and example of the bag process, bag of leftover drills, and the kit completed months in order.
