The character is from my fantasy setting:

Ioann Kashchey Vasiliyevich IV is an immortal person, one of few sentient beings that exists in 2 dimensions at the same time and his unique power is immortality, that he achieved through some black magic.

He is absolutely immortal and unstoppable. Only 2 things that can stop him are Alatyr (In fairytales and legends its a wish stone, but in reality its just a very radioactive stone. Radiation won't kill but will hold him.) and Mech Kladenets (Sword that Kashchey used to pierce his heart and body. It was made by smith and sourcerer - Belogor. It stops his immortality for some time)

He is centuries old, defeated Ilya Muromets, that chopped him to pieces with Mech Kladenets and locked every piece in chest, charred and under 7 chains and locks. When he got free, broke the chains, became one, he got his revenge and became an absolute tyrant: Raped, murdered, maimed, but when his fury extinguished he hid and appeared as a tsar Ioann. He ruled for 30 years, wise and strict. For his character and extreme ways to solve the problems he got the title "Wrathful".

30 years of being a tsar were exhausting and he made people think that he has died of age, but he left to find a way to finally find peace, tranquility in death.

His family and everyone he knew died of age or any other reason during his imprisonment, decades of fury, of ruling, of reign. Nothing can satisfy him but actual death and oblivion.

In my lore souls are not eternal and they degrade and seize their existence after some time if not contained.
