and harder to get BELA in my local stores and yet the quality appears to be improving. I mean they are my daily driver but I've had to branch out since it's not as easy to locate and now I want them even more. Oh well, I am all lost in the supermarket. Had to eat two different brands today and they were both nom nom delicious 😋
What's your preference? Most mackerels I see out there and eat are filet style. While delicious, I find the whole mackerels with skin and bones to be far more tasty and less dry. Nutritionally I am thinking it must be a little more complete with calcium and added efas with the skin and fat, but protein might be a little less. Both these were delicious, the EVOO in the BELA's was definitely higher quality.
