Recovery Time for Liposuction

I am an individual with insulin resistant PMOS and carry weight very unevenly. Currently I am 150 at 5'4".

I have needed a total hysterectomy which you can see in my post history and a gallbladder surgery.

I am incredibly active, working out 5-7 days a week in aerial arts, ballet, zumba, tap, and dance conditioning classes.

My surgeon has referred to me as very muscular and having an athletic build that is hidden under a layer of fat that I have been unable to remove through diet and exercise. He is also a reputable surgeon, who is also a professor and I have heard steller reviews in person about him when I did my pre op check ups by nurses in unaffiliated hospitals.

I am also on metformin for insulin regulation (I also have sugar crashes and have to take my blood sugar) and eat once a day per doctors orders to regulate my insulin.

I am getting liposuction July 6th on my: upper arms, inner thighs, upper and lower abdomen, and knees. I originally was not going to do knees, but he reccomended them due to how I carry weight and wanting it to look more even. I am also getting Vaser on my upper arms, thighs, and abdomen.

I was able to recover from my hysterectomy with only a tylonel 3 once, but my gallbladder surgery was absolutely brutal and pain medication didn't touch it. I also had a bad reaction to the vicodin (made me dizzy and vomit and unfortunately did 0 for pain).

I am going to San Diego Comic Con at the end of July. I leave for it by train July 18th and the con starts the 22nd. I am going to be walking up to 20k steps a day, but I could go to ADA and get a motorized scooter or wheel chair too. The train ride is also a few days, where I will be stopping to sight see.

My surgeon has said I will be okay to go and has no concerns for my trip. He stated the newer lipo type he uses has less down time and he has no major concerns.

I have freaked myself out though, reading how much pain people are in. How am I supposed to kneel to pack my suitcase? How am I supposed to drag it with me on my flight home?

What did recovery time look like for all of you with liposuction recently?
