Hello fellow sorcerers, I’ve got a question regarding portals. I’m now in Diamond 1, and I like to use the portal to portal straight to the point (in domination) and establish a choke point with it but anytime I do the whole team is saying „why are you using it already“ but imo its stupid to not use it at the start because there’s way more pros than cons like team being on point first and being able to position themself early, while also creating an effective choke point. Usually by the time we need the portal again I’ll have it anyway. I’d like to hear some opinions from other strange players instead of players who got about 5mins playtime on strange. If anyone is interested, here‘s a replay and particularly on round 3 I can promise that we would’ve taken the point if we established a choke point with a portal in the beginning.

I’ve recently hit gm2 as a one trick pony strange but I feel like I need to learn another hero because strange alone doesn’t really work anymore. So my question is: what is your backup hero if strange doesn’t work?
