Clearing things up

Just to be clear on my previous post, im not sure if im going to ut martin entirely free. I did the math and I should be getting a refund of $800 each semester. If Im correct im just hanging on by a thread.

I feel like I made a bad decison

Hello, I had made the decision to go the University of Tennessee at Martin in the fall. I got selected to the University Scholars, the school's honors program there. So with that along with the school's chancellor's scholarship and Tennessee grants, I am going there for free. However, I had got full tution room and board to prominent HBCUs such as Dillard, Fisk, and Tuskegee. I been in all/or mostly black schools my whole life, so at the decision making time I didn't fully realize the impact of HBCUs. Now I know I can't ever get a full ride again.

Am I going to be okay? Any advice?

Stats: 29 ACT, 3.8 GPA, from memphis

Ok so I'm Narrowing down my two choices, UT Martin and Fisk.

Again with UT Martin: it has more flexibility with majors(i don't if I want to pursue business, finance, political science, journalism/broadcast). Plus, Im in the honors program. I have friends that's going there, a friend that's already there, and a family member there. But again, i understand that martin tn is a small town, but I heard there's so much to donon campus and for a small town, the school has great external opportunities. Unfortunately right now im assigned in Ellington hall with 3 random people sharing 1 restroom. Even tho that could change during summer. Now this brings me to fisk.

With Fisk: Again I have the Erastus Milo Cravath Presidential Scholarship which gives me full tution room and board. And if I figured that I end up with 3 random people at martin, I might as well go to Fisk on a full ride. But Fisk is extremely small for a college, 1000 students. I feel like it's going to be like high-school there. Their website is outdated so i can even see how dorms look. don't know if i'll make friends there or not And I don't know how impactful the HBCU experience would be on me. A family friend who is a senior there told me that the food isn't that good and the professors can be difficult l. I went online and I seen that's like a reoccurring thing at HBCUs, which bothers me. And major flexibility isn't there( I would only pursue business or political science there)

Everyone around me just wants me to pick one. But to pick one, im giving up something major on the other.

Full ride at fisk? Or Honors at UT Martin

Honestly, I always wanted a mid size school in an urban area. Unfortunately, both schools have a piece of what I want but not the other. I literally don't know what's best for me

MAY 1ST IS COMING, I NEED A DECISION. ANY EXTRA ADVICE IS NEEDED. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO WENT TO FISK OR UT MARTIN, OR PEOPLE WHO HAVE GREAT INTEL ABOUT CURRENT EVENTS AT EACH SCHOOL.
