I am usually a pretty big fan of Ateez and even saw them live.

But as I was listening to "Bad" by them, it gave me the biggest ick, everytime I say that people will say its not that serious... and it isn't... but the lyrics give me this icky feeling.

The dance is fun, and the beat is regular Ateez; it's just some of the lyrics that make me feel kinda icky, but I don't know why.

Edit: some people are twisting my words and saying in calling them racist, or that I’m projecting and it’s not that serious, or that the song shouldn’t be called the worst song ever

One. I never said they were racist. I pointed out that the lyrics are tiptoeing the line more then they should, and that the song features a variety of Latina stereotypes. I never said “ateez is racist,” I’m talking about this one song.

Two. I don’t think this is a serious serious issue and It’s not ruining my day, but you are in kpop thoughts subreddit, so this is just a random thought I had while listening to this album, and haven’t seen anyone else point it out yet on reddit, so I thought I’d write my thoughts.

Three. I did say in my post that the song is ok, and the dance is fun. I just saw the lyrics and was like hmmm🧍🏻‍♀️🤔

So this is more of a story time that I still think about and face palm.

Me and my friend went to see Dan during his Milwaukee show during his “we’re all doomed” tour. It was great, we laughed and had a great time.

After the show, me and my friend were going to wait for an uber, and joked we should wait outside the back doors so we can see Dan, but that wasn’t really what we were trying to do. Like, it would be cool, but we didn’t expect it.

There were like 2-3 other girls, and we were all chilling, until the door opens. In walks dan with one other security guard. We all froze and he smiles at us and said “oh my gosh, you’re all adorable, can I take a picture with you guys” or something around those lines. We all said yes, and he took a photo quickly on his own phone. I think the two other girls got a photo, but I froze and so did my friend so we never took a photo with him. We hoped he would post the photo, but sadly he never did 🥲

Still amazing and we cried lmaoo (of happiness) but we still face palm about it lol. If anyone has that photo, it would be nice if you could send it, but I’m still shocked we met him and got complimented by him.

It’s surreal because I’ve been watching him since 6th grade and I met him my sophomore year of college

for context: he had a twitter account for posting photos he'd take on his own phone with fans during this tour. He just probably forgot he took the photo when he drove off, which is understandable, he was probably tired.
