Issue with amplifier
Hey! I got my old amp set up. It’s a Technics SU-610. It works without major issues, except for one. When I pause the source (it’s connected to my PC via a jack to RCA cable), it’s quiet, then after a few seconds, it starts buzzing.
I read somewhere, that it could be a grounding issue. There is a GND connector on the back of the amp and nothing is connected there. Would it be a solution, if I ground it from there?
Edit: I also read that RCA can pick up interference if they are near a power cable. The jack output on my laptop is next to the power cable, also the RCA end runs alongside the amp’s power cable. There is no way that it’s impossible to use this amp without interference. That’s just poor design. Please tell me that isnt the case. (It only has RCA inputs.)
