First time pouring a pad, how did I do

First time doing anything with concrete that isn't just pouring it into a fence hole, I'm curious how I did overall and any feedback to learn from is welcome.

I'm not happy with the amount of voids along the sides honestly, and on the 1st photo I actually messed up the corner brushing too hard to get the dust off before I sprayed sealer on the sides which sucks, but oh well.

Are the voids from not vibrating the concrete enough? I thought I did with both an actual vibrator in the main body, and a sawsall along the form itself. I also couldn't really decide when it had enough water before pouring so I'm sure that didn't help lol

If I can get it down decent I'll be doing another pad for a greenhouse and running some pavers to it next.

Horizontal air handler supporting block location

Fairly stupid question but I got my new evap coil in my unit in the Attic and I was going to replace the starting to rot boards with some vibration pads to help some of the general noise vibration transfer.

The ahu is on two sets of (2) 2x6s, and I was just trying to figure out what the best way to actually support this. Would it be better to move the supports to the corners? Should I stick with a long cross block or just squares at the corners? Various spots under the body? I don't know what to do. All I know is that it's not correct how it is.

Sorry for the one shitty pic, just wanted to get down and breath asap lol.

Tub fill advice

I'm doing some minor work in my bathroom, and one thing I really want to tackle is this stupid as hell tub faucet.

Does anyone have any advice or ideas on how I could change the position of this or do something with it that it's not so unwieldily? The way it's currently set up if you don't aim it basically perfectly on full blast. There is a 100% chance it's going to get water all around the rim. I was thinking of doing a wall mount or something but all the ones I could find were extremely expensive comparatively.

Removing a weird pillar&arch in a bath

Long and short, I'm fairly certain I want to remove these pillars/arch above the tub and reduce it to just a half wall between the sink and the tub. (I honestly hate it all including the built in cabinets and for some insane reason an uncentered vanity light they used for the sink area but I'm trying to make it look less garbage on a budget)

I'm like 99.99% sure there is no way this pillar is load bearing, as I have a full truss roof system and it's literally the only pillar in the house and at the corner of the house. There is also no electrical or plumbing going through that pillar, or outlets.

Honestly I'd line to just remove the entire thing but for the time being I don't know how I would transition the built in cabinets to the tub without some level of wall there.

I guess I'm just looking for a second opinion on the whole thing, I've already done a lot of other random work in there and it's obviously a mess, pic is from the old house listing.

[United States] commerical registration & license requirement question

Long and short, I made a drone program at work, me and 1 other are currently licensed, and we have an M30T & mini5 registered.

My boss wants to get another mini5 for employees to take home to play with to get used to flying by having fun before flying at work, because it's a dangerous environment.

  1. Does this count as commercial use because it's owned by a a company when it's sole purpose is to be flown at home recreationally?

  2. If so, does this mini5 need to be registered?

  3. And most Importantly do employees need to be licensed to fly this mini5?

The intended purpose of letting employees take said drone home to get used to flying/see if they even want that responsibility before getting the license and flying on site since the assumption would be flying onsite as an employee on company time, even as practice would count as commercial use, thus require the license.

Thank you

The sheetrock around my shower insert was kinda bad, where the insert met the sheetrock it was crumbling hard, and lots of other random bits like the little end coming out was absurdly smaller at the bottom than the top to a degree of like 3/8". I also decided I wanted to take off the heavy texture because I hate it.

I used 90min quickset and built up the bottom in several layers until it was reasonably close to 90, I broke away most of the crumbling edge, sanded it lower and put break away edge all around the edges, and put down a fairly thick layer across everything after sanding the texture down a bit to fill in the texture gaps, and also get the wall more even.

That's one question I have, how even is normal? Because holy crap were there some pits and such that took a good amount of mud to fill, I was using my 24" straight edge and it was making me really see how bad I was doing at sanding it even.

My plan was to do a thinner layer of 90 after sanding down a bit, and then a layer of premix to finish it.

Is this all good? Am I on the right track?
