i don’t know what a reasonable amount is to ask for (college age)

My girlfriend spends almost $500 a month on beauty treatments. I didn’t know this when we first started dating, I just thought she was well put together. She spends the bulk of her time going to a bunch of appointments (mani/pedi, spray tans once a week, fancy hair treatments and dying her hair, lashes, and a few other things). She still saves time for me, but I feel like it’s a bit excessive how much she’s spending and not sure if it’s normal or not for girls. We’re both starting college in the fall, and we started dating in February, but I didn’t realize she was doing all of this until summer started and I was less busy, and assumed she was too. I think it’s a lot, but is that just a girl thing? idk if i should be contributing to the expenses or if i should worry if she feels insecure without it and she like can’t afford anything else i’ve paid for her gas and stuff before because she said she had no money (eta that part)
