Update on my ban and my communication from Cheritz
I made a post about getting banned a few days ago (see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mysticmessenger/comments/1tcrhbl/banned\_for\_having\_too\_many\_hourglasses/) and have since been unbanned.
When i sent my first email to cheritz, explaining my confusion at being banned, they sent the following:
"Upon checking your account [email], we were able to find that you have a total of X hourglasses. As notified in our previous announcement on 'Notice on Account Ban for Abusive Behaviour', we have banned your account for suspicion of data manipulation. If you have proof of purchases for all the number of hourglasses you have, please send all your receipts to this account."
I then emailed them, trying to reason that ive been playing the game since launch and haven't bought any HG's as I've accumulated them through gameplay. I didn't get a response.
I then emailed again, this time asking them to check my game logs which will prove I've accumulated them through gameplay. This email did get a response:
"The restriction was an error made on our end during our routine data inspection process. Upon receiving your inquiry, our team carefully reviewed your account logs. We have confirmed your normal gameplay and have promptly lifted the restriction. You can now access your account and play the game without any issues."
From my experience, if you're banned, i would try the following:
Ask them to specifically check your game logs because you know you haven't been abusing the system.
If they haven't responded, email again. I don't think they manage their inbox very well and seemed to miss my second email entirely.
Hearing from other users, even if you did buy some HG's, sending them the receipts may only result in a partial restoration of HG's. For example if you have 3k HG's and only paid for 1k, then they might give you back your account with only the 1k you have a receipt for. It's probably best you insist they check the logs and only send receipts as a last resort. I also find it crazy that they cant check purchases on their end, surely they would know best.
