JEE/NEET coaching is NOTHING like as shown there(which is supposed to be the selling point of the show btw), trust me as an Aspirant.

THERE IS NO JEETU BHAIYA IN REAL LIFE, IN ANY COACHING.

Kota factory was still okay enough. But there have been a lot of recent shows like that sharman joshi one which is just literally coaching propaganda. again THERE ARE NO MAHATMA TEACHERS IRL, they're humans with some experience in their field.

I hate these shows, they have no plot, no storytelling only pure glazing of one mahatma teacher, only decent one was Aspirants that's it.

they HAVE TO HAVE some forced Romantic interests, while usual JEE aspirants quit there entire relationship chances for studies.

and there all the f'in same, shy, studios girl with awkward nerdy boy. From a storytelling POV they're so cliche.

freinds irl are NEVER as good as shown, since irl friends have their own goals in mind, and they're jealous. you'll leave JEE with no real friends, while our main char here has a dyson sphere of friends

its unrealistic, and deludes you into thinking coachings are great, why? (hint: look at the sponsors, comeon comeone look at them)

Monkey Paw is a trope wherein a wish is granted in such a way so that you get what you wanted, but there is a 'catch' ,you lose something else for it etc, for interference with fate.

One wish willow is very different, it gives you exactly what you want, for eg that guy asked for a billion dollars and he got exactly that, no catch, similarly bear got exactly what he wanted no more no less.

I think this misunderstanding fundamentally distorts and disrespect the plot and theme of the movie,

The movie is not based on 'wish but with a curse', but rather the problem with bear's wish is very different and rather deeper than that

If you make it a monkeys paw you end up validating bear's obsession with the concept of love he thought with niki which ignored her autonomy.

When you wish someone else to love you forcefully you force them to alter their personality, and the effects and consequences of that is that despite you got what you wanted, it's not really real, not the same person since you chose the idea of what that person is to you above who that person actually is

And this is not some curse of this wish, more of a reality check to bear that this is the consequences of forced love, which drives the movie into to the theme of violation of autonomy etc on which it is actually based, and if you see the director and actor interview you'll realise it.

This is something I've seen much more commonly with indian audiences( and tbh a lot of the Indian audience also misinterpreted other parts of this movie, very visible by the fact that people were laughing in theatres in some scenes which angers me)and even commonly on this sub, calling this movie a 'cLASiC MoNkEy PaW TrOpE' take so much depth away from it that it angers me especially..

So i got 19.8k in adv and 97.7 in mains and am almost sure to take drop since i really have desire to improve, anyways i wanted to ask as a student whose OC and IOC is weak (slightly below mains level ) and in maths and physics 3-4 chaps are incomplete should i go for this batch or praveen (no interest in PW as i tried their material last yr and felt it was dogwater)
