Is Gold 1 good for someone who has played melee for 8-9 months?
Im currently sitting at 1477 elo, and was wondering if my progress is slow or fast. I started playing smash casually in 2019 in smash ultimate, and i took multiple very long breaks from smash in general. I really started to play melee almost every day in October 2025. Is gold 1 good at this rate? (I play puff)

After 7 months of playing melee, i reached my first ever big goal
i started actively playing melee 7 months ago, and one of the first goals i have set to myself is to get Gold 1 before the SSBM RU Melee Summer 2026 PR, and i finally did it. It feels so good, last games till gold made my heart race really fast, and im so relieved to finally achieve this checkpoint in my life (btw in my last set i 4-stocked a silver 3 fox on yoshi's for the win lol)
