Is going in person better than mailing out my form?
I have concerns in regards to mailing out the required documentation, namely that of if I were to lose my state ID either through negligence on part of the SSA office or the postal service, I would not be able to replace it in any kind of timely manner as the nearest DMV is still not capable of processing RealIDs, hence my concern with mailing out a completed form and the ID.
The option of going in person is not any better, I have been unable to make an in person appointment, couple that with the fact I would have to fly out to the city where the SSA is located, that is upwards of 12-14 thousand dollars in cost and two separate flights just to be able to get seen.
I am aware I am over thinking this, that anxiety is causing decision paralysis.
