Heya!

I am looking for some friends who are Pagan. My anxiety is bad and I have always had trouble meeting people in real life so I wanted to try to find my people online.

A bit about me. My name is Lily. I am 36. Trans female. She/her pronouns. In Central New York. I love to draw, watch anime, play video games, go for walks and listen to music.

I have been interested in Wicca since I was 13 in 2003. Felt drawn to it and have done spells and rituals. The past 5 or 6 years, I have become interested in Druidry and Celtic Paganism. I am now interested in Norse Paganism but I know some groups are pretty racist and so I want to stay far from those. I keep trying to find a path that I can call my own. At this point, I just want to call myself an Animist and Pagan. I believe everything has a soul and should be respected and I believe that deity comes in many different forms. The other labels just make my head spin because there is so much misinformation or falsely labeled UPG as historical fact. It would be cool to have someone or a group of people to discuss, read together, be a small and safe community for each other.

I am still in the very early steps of learning about Celtic and Norse Paganism and would love to have someone to talk to about things.

Heya. I have hit a road block in my family tree and I just think I am missing out on some solid proof that exists. I was wondering if anyone could offer a little assistance, it would be so appreciated.

My surname is Atwood on my paternal line. My family is in Central New York and seems to be from Kentucky or North Carolina. Maybe Virginia?

My great great great grandfather was Thomas Atwood,

Birth - 12 April 1802

Winston Township, Forsyth, North Carolina, United States

Death - 11 January 1899

Prathers Creek Township, Alleghany, North Carolina, United States

He married Mary 'Polly' Steelman,

Birth - 24 March 1804

Alleghany, North Carolina, United States

Death - 24 December 1862

Alleghany, North Carolina, United States

They had George Washington Atwood who married Margaret Long. They had Silas Atwood who married Katherine Wilson. This is where the Kentucky side comes in.

I have seen many times that Thomas Atwood is a descendant of William Atwood and Sarah Ligon which goes into a large family but I have no proof that my great great great grandfather is related to someone who married Sarah Ligon.

I have also heard that Thomas Atwood's father was John T. Atwood who married someone named Elizabeth. Also that John T is the son of James Atwood and Martha McGehee but I can't find any proof of McGehee being tied to my family tree. Then James's parents were James Atwood and Mary Turner. James' parents are William Atwood and Sarah Ligon. It seems like there is an Atwood connection to the Ligons but I dont know if my Atwoods have been to Edward Island County, Virginia.

I am 36, trans female, in the Central New York area. Identified as Wiccan for most my life. Interested in Reiki, Druidry, Buddhism, Chakras and Shamanism. My ideal would be find a person or a group to learn from, to ask questions to, have that kind of support system. I would love a teacher that can help me in any of those ways.

I don't work and so I can't pay for any courses or lessons, but I do understand why so many people charge people for those things. I wish there was a local group close to me to learn from.

I have really bad anxiety and depression and have sort of became a true hermit.

Its great!...for most of the time but I really want to try and get out there more to make friends and be social.

I love horror and psychological media. I love musicals. I have always wanted to try D&D or LARPing, but I always get too scared because I feel like I don't know enough and dont want to bother someone with 10000 question. I am a pretty spiritual person, into Paganism. Would be cool to find others who are into that too. I want to freaking bowl or play mini golf! Or just hangout and talk.

I am asking for some tips, maybe some nice comments, just genuinely give me some hope.
