I’ve only completed two endings so far and I’m on my way to completing another two so maybe my opinion is skewed due to a relative lack of experience, but I’ve barely used both the normal and the electrical barricades or Kurara’s special attack, I’ve only ever used the land mines once or twice, and I haven’t used the springs at all. I would far rather set up for Shouma’s special attack than using Kurara to plant a bunch of tomatoes that can damage and kill my own troops, and even against Addamaque, the commander that the game itself encourages you to use traps on, I’d prefer to just nuke him with special attacks with high damage outputs, especially if Nozomi’s available to heal up their stun immediately afterwards. I remember my first fight against the guy and I’m pretty sure I even accidentally set the tomatoes in a position that wouldn’t actually damage him, he completely wrecked the barricades immediately after I had set them up, and after all that I just destroyed him with the other characters who were present at the time. I’m just wondering if it’s just me who feels that way or if there are others who share the sentiment.

Also just for LOL’s Mineta doesn’t consider Jiro a girl or doesn’t want to ruin his and Kaminari’s friendship, and as such sulks listing the girls but leaving out Jiro like he did during the peephole scene, with Hagakure secretly spying on him. So when she tells them that Mineta wasn’t any of their Secret Santa’s Jiro is lulled into a false sense of security. Up to you whether you take that into account or not.
