I may be imagining this, but hear me out. I got to thinking about the scenes with Bakugo in the Final War, especially the scene where he's soaring around like a firework taking out AfO. He's got this big grin on his face. Not a smug sneer, not a facade, a genuine honest joyful smile using his powers and going absolutely all out. It's when I realized that, Deku really doesn't have a similar moment. When Deku is using his quirk(s), it's always in life and death situations, or really intense moments like the sports festival fight with Shoto, there's never really a moment where he kind of just cuts loose and, I don't know what the right word is, "revels" or "luxuriates" in his abilities. It's just an interesting comment on how the two see the nature of power and their abilities. It even reminds me of how Shoto used his ice to make slides and things for people and kids.

If you had a Quirk, backstory and character name, what would they be and why? 🤔

If you were in My Hero Academia, what would your name, Quirk and backstory be?
Would you be a U.A. student, Pro Hero, villain or just an ordinary person? And why?

My character is Anna Morita, she’s half British and half Japanese and a student in U.A. Class 1-B. Her hero name is Nine Lives and her Quirk is cat-based, so she has cat ears, a tail, claws, good night vision and hearing. She also has nine lives, so if she gets an injury that would normally kill her, she survives but loses one of her lives each time.
She’s quite shy, introverted, friendly and a bit anxious. She worries a lot and sometimes doesn’t listen properly or needs things explained again. Once she’s comfortable with people, she can be chatty and funny. She loves listening to music, especially K-pop. She’s not the strongest fighter and doesn’t want to kill anyone, even villains.

I really appreciate how much Horikoshi seems to love his characters

I've been reading Horikoshi's first serialized work Omagadoki Zoo and ran into several familiar faces - the characters of Uwabami, Shishidou and most notably Gang Orca all got their start here before being reused in MHA. The character of Astro from his short-lived Barrage makes some cameos towards the end of the series, and while I haven't read it yet, apparently Shigaraki draws influence from Horokishi's very first one-shot called Tenko.

And that's on top of making references to the movie characters as well! I'm not sure how much of a hand he had in the movies or their characters/designs if any, but it's still really cool that he went out of his way to canonize them in his manga, something I honestly don't recall any shonen doing for it's spin-off movies like that. Maybe I'm reading in to things but it's really cool how he reuses characters to pay tribute to his previous series & to the people who worked on the anime and movies.

I'll share my theory about what Nagant might be drawing in this photo if people still wonder. I believe she's designing Ganriki Neko merchandise, and here's why:

If you look closely at the monitor screen in the photo, you'll see a cat that looks very similar to the cats featured on Ganriki Neko merchandise.

I believe that, at some point in her retirement, Nagant started drawing and eventually collaborated with Michimichiko Ganriki (Iris Vision). Now, she could be designing new Ganriki Neko merchandise.

And to emphasize this even further, her character page states that her favorite things are pretty and cute stuff

my theory is that Nagant's art hobby eventually led her to work with Iris Vision and design Ganriki Neko merchandise

You Can Be A Hero

I like to listen to a speech about how we have to be our own heroes. I have noticed that nothing has made me feel more bitter than failing to be that person for myself and playing the blame game. When all might said this to Deku I felt it in my heart to try so hard without validation and then to finally get some. I am becoming the hero of my own story but I do not consider myself to be that just yet. Do you see yourself as the hero of your own story yet?
