Hazelnut Rice pudding Ice Cream

Definitely my most creamy ice cream to date, and pleased my In-Laws who haven’t had rice pudding in this format before. Simply just make the rice pudding with the ingredients below and then churn the next day.

My predictions for next season(with actual explanations)

  1. Middlesbrough: they’ve spent a lot this summer on quality players (Lankshear, Phillips, Joseph, Vitek, and a bunch of Americans) and I think they’re one of the best teams out there, I’d expect promotion, but with their strength they’ll be challenging for the title, and I think they’ll get it.

  2. Wolves: I know their squad last season wasn’t great, and Edwards is gone, but their squad is still pretty good, and with the additions of Trippier and Jimenez, who with Armstrong will be scoring goals for fun, I think they’ll nick their place into the automatics.

  3. West Ham: on paper we should be walking the league, but I don’t think we will, yes we’ve signed Solomon and Veltman who are decent players, and I’m imagine we get Engels and another striker and winger, but until Pompey scored first we were asleep, and I fear that’ll happen too many times this season, I’m also concerned Nuno’s tactics might not wash as well, nonetheless we’ve still a good squad and it should be enough for the playoffs, and I think we’ll go up from there.

  4. Southampton: the pesky spies will sneak their way in. I kid of course, but in players like Azaz, Larin, Scienza and Harwood Bellis, they’ve got the foundations of a quality team. Then you add in Lewis Dobbin who did really well for Preston last term, then I think they’ll be in and around the playoffs mix but I think they’ll to us in that playoff final.

  5. Norwich: they’re my dark horse this season, they’ve had a decent transfer window and Mo Toure looks lethal. They looked great against MK Dons, so I think playoffs isn’t unreasonable.

  6. Burnley: this’ll be the season that the yo-yo is broken. Here’s why; their manager isn’t convincing, they’ve lost a lot of last seasons team, they were winless in preseason and there’s a lot of backroom uncertainty with Pace, all in all they’ll have a messy campaign, but the quality should still get them to the playoffs but that’s all.

  7. Wrexham: they’re a good side Wrexham, and I think they’ll be a team to benefit this expanded format of the playoffs. They’ve signed well (Imray looks good) but I think they’ll fall short of promotion again.

  8. Millwall: Well they’re ok enough to make the playoffs, but I think their best player may be away soon. Also I’m not too impressed with their transfer business and I think they’ll fall short in the playoffs.

  9. Bristol City: they’ve had one of the strongest windows of any team; bringing in Ballard, Tolaj and Wallace(for the experience) so they’ll make a push. Skubala is a quality manager, but I think they’ll have some issues with clinicality judging by the Walsall game so that’s why they’ll fall short.

  10. Birmingham City: Priske looks like he’s going to have a strong goalscoring season, coupled in with Stansfield and Ducksch chipping in for goals they’ll be a high scoring team, but I don’t think their midfield strength is as good as other sides, and that might impact them pushing further.

  11. Swansea City: on the face of it, they’ve had a decent window signing Just, Yeo, Welsh and Stewart, but I’m worried that should Vipotnik leave then I’m not too convinced Stewart could stay fit all this time, and that might impact them.

  12. QPR: The coveted 12th place will go to QPR. They’ve had a middling transfer window (although Lamptey could be class) and I think they’ll just have a middling season. They’re good enough to avoid trouble but I feel they lack firepower to push on for the playoffs just yet.

13: Stoke City: they’ve been busy this window and Galbraith and Graham catch my eye the most as genuinely decent signings(especially as the former cost £10m). But I still feel like Sorba Thomas might leave (hopefully to West Ham!) and they may struggle to replace what he offers, impacting them.

  1. Derby: this is one I know I’ll get wrong. I just feel they’ll have a drop off this season. I know Szmodics and Clark have returned but I haven’t seen much to think derby will challenge this season and that EFL cup game showed they’re still rather weak in areas. They’ll stay up rather comfortably, but playoffs aren’t on the table (but I feel John Eustace will prove me wrong)

  2. West Brom: feels like a bit of a transition season for them(again), judging on their EFL cup match they look good, J-J Morgan looks good. But again this is another transition for them after changing manager and the style of play will change too.

  3. Sheffield United: I’m worried about Sheffield United: they’ve signed little, and seem to be waiting on the the free agent and loan market, which isn’t good enough for them. They also seem to be becoming a ‘Retirement home’ for fallen PL stars (Doherty, Chong, Bamford, and they want Kalvin Phillips again) this isn’t strong enough I feel and that’s what could drag them into the lower end of the table this season.

  4. Watford: you know the story by now: sign a bunch of players from Udinese, sack a manager in October(they look pedestrian and not clinical already so it’d be no shock) hire a Spanish or Serbian manager then he’ll be sacked by March before hiring an English manager who’ll be gone by June. They’ll end 17th because each manager will have a bounce that will keep them from trouble.

  5. Portsmouth: another side who’ve been busy this season, and they’ll go well judging on their game against us. If they keep the likes of Segecic fit they should do ok. Pompey will probably be in a bit of a scrap, but they kind of know that already, but they’ve got fight and can pull off good results when key players are fit, I think they’ll be fine.

  6. Preston: they look thin, really thin in numbers at the minute, and that could pull them into a bit of a dogfight.

  7. Cardiff: I’m not too sure what to think of them, they’ve been relatively inactive in the transfer market and Barry-Murphy is relatively unproven at this level, but I think in players like Moylan and Salech(who’ll bang goals in this season) they should be ok if their attackers deliver.

  8. Lincoln City: I know a lot of people have tipped them to go down, but I’m not so sure. Yes they’ve lost Skubala. Yes they’ve lost Moylan but I’m not convinced they’re going down. They’ll do it on the last day but I think that they can take it to other sides.

22: Blackburn: they’ve been uninspiring in the window and looked even more uninspiring against Burton, I don’t think Mobwray can save this side, and the toxic relationship with the Venky’s could come to a head here what with their financial issues.

  1. Charlton: yes they did look great against Cheltenham, and they’ve signed the likes of Grant and Alli, but I think last season their slide into trouble is cause for me to believe that they’ll have a tough time of it this season, only this time, they might not get so lucky.

  2. Bolton: they’re the only Championship to go out to lower level opposition, and they’ve actually lost players who brought them up (as in loanees) and not really replaced them in attack, they don’t look the greatest and I think they’re probably the weakest of a very strong league.

West Ham United: David Gold's family agree sale of 25% stake to Amanda Staveley consortium

What could this mean for future transfer business, could it be slower than expected?

Homemade Vanilla Milk Fudge Ice Cream

A simple recipe in which I used whole milk, double cream, vanilla and caster sugar, before adding fudge pieces whilst I churned, it’s pleasingly nice.

West Ham Relegated.

Londoners will have to collectively pay £2.5m more to the stadiums’s upkeep. Another terrible Johnson decision that was.
