That AMG takes off like a bat out of hell, but we reeled it in at about 60km/h.
I got to drive the A35 after we did a rolling launch. That thing feels just as good as the VN! The owner of the Merc was terrified of the VN. The steering torque almost took him out 😆.
This weekend I took it upon myself to upgrade my turbo and HPFP.
It was hell, to say the least... i recommend not doing this alone. Getting the turbo out of the car wasn't bad. Getting the new one in, not so easy! (I used the valve cover removal technique)
In the end it fired up nicely. There was a bit of white smoke (up minutes worth). And there was smoking from the oil return banjo bolt, from when I primed the turbo.
I'll break the turbo in before hitting up Daniel for a tune!
All in all, it was a fun weekend project. It was probably the most challenging task I've done in years!
She's gonna be stronger!!! She's getting an Elantra N turbo and upgraded HPFP.
If you ever need to do the lower o2, just know its easy AF through the passenger axle.
(This is all solo... fml)
I have 1 question about the banjo bolts that I'm concerned about. Are the VN banjo bolts compatible with the EN turbo?

I was mowing the lawn and didn't see one of my kids toys. We'll, that toy got chewed up and thrown into the rear passenger door... big sad...
I got quoted $400 CAD for the repair, but it will be approximately 80%+ repair, so noticeable... i see there's a door on RedLineAuto for $400, but i don't know if thats USD or CAD. Also, that would need to be shipped.
In the end, I just want her to be pretty again 😢

Im looking to upgrade to upgrade my turbo to the EN. Is it possible to make the swap without removing the downpipe... I only have ramps and wood to hold the car off the ground, no lift or hoist. So the turbo has to come out of the top for me.

I've already gone through the torture of changing my downpipe and would prefer not having to do it again.
Every video I watch has the downpipe already removed when the video starts...

If I have no other option, I guess I'll cry the entire time, like I did during the downpipe install 😭
I'm trying to figure out what is meant by this message. From my understanding, my car was not tuned or modded. The downpipe and intake appeared untouched. (The carbon and rust build up on the OEM downpipe were clear signs of this.)
From my understanding, I am being told that my car has a tune already, but I have yet to get out.
My data logging said that I was pushing ~2 Bar boost, which is nearly 30 PSI... thats far above OEM turbo limits.
If someone wants to go through my logs, I can send them in a DM.
