Looking for a HIGH CLASS international open minded psychologist in Amman?

I’m looking for someone with broad life experience who has lived in different parts of the world and interacted with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ideally, they would understand the issues I’m facing and have experience beyond Arab society (since I am not Arab). I prefer a seasoned gentleman that speaks English fluently.

Please share any recommendations as my mental health needs it desperately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Looking for coffeeshops where people work on laptops? (Abdoun, Abdali, Swefiyeh, Weibdeh, Umm Uthaina)

I (26F) just moved to Jordan and need a place where you have people that enjoy deep focus flows where they hyperfixate on their stuff but also have a community vibe. Does that exist here?

FYI: I'm half european/half north african, work in foreign affairs but any field is fine, fintechs, startups etc. I like ppl that think about their future and inspire you. If a place exists where people like this hang out I'd love to know about it!

How do Khaleeji’s in Jordan date?

Moved to Jordan from a European country (I have North African parents) and I’m really trying to understand the dating culture here.

I live in Abdali and see sooo many handsome men but I’m truly curious how girls and guys talk to eachother. Everyone is in a group and just stares at everyone but they don’t talk to you? Is it because of the culture or because they have different ways to do it

The women in the royal family are not doing enough for us

I love the royal family, but as a woman I started thinking about how much change the royal family could bring for the girls and women in this country but they don’t. They think having a few charity cases is enough. I’m done romanticizing our princesses as if being elegant is enough.

I moved to Jordan and it shocked me how well mannered the men here are. Nobody tries to talk to you. Nobody tries to get your attention in a weird way. Yes, they look. But they don’t look as if they are stripping you naked. Groups of men on the streets are respectful and don’t want to make girls feel uncomfortable. You don’t have to worry about getting weird creepy flirty vibes from your waiter or sales assistant like in Morocco. It’s because if you approach a woman here in a harassing way, the police will immediately arrest you.

The women in the royal family could empower the military and police force, starting with gender integration and engaging women to become part of our national security forces. We could have female-only platoons in the military, have high-ranked military women, female police officers in every city, female gendarmes in rural areas, and women who actually gain real authority.

A foundation can help a few girls go to school, but the police, the military, the courts, the Ministry of Interior and the education system decide whether millions of girls can live freely and safely.

The women in the royal family are in a position no ordinary Moroccan woman will ever be in. They could make women’s safety and women’s participation in state institutions a national priority. They could make it prestigious for girls to join the police, the army, diplomacy, cyber security, intelligence, public administration and leadership. They could make families proud of daughters who serve the country.

The women of the royal family have the power to make that normal. That is why I expect more from them.

I reallyyyy like the friend of a guy I’m “seeing”?

I moved to Amman recently and met a few guys (friend group) at a café. They were very kind and because I am new to the city I am just looking for people to hang out with. One of them, I feel is very much into me. I think he thinks we are dating but I am definitely not interested in a romantic way. It’s just that he is such a kind person and takes me out to so many nice places and introduced me to the entire friend group. I will have to make it clear eventually that I have no romantic interest.

The problem is that one friend of him really caught my eye. I can’t stop thinking about him and I haven’t had this feeling in 3 years. It’s weird. He has something so special and unique even though I’ve only seen him twice.

Now how do I handle this? I feel like his friend likes me too because he keeps trying to see me when his friend invites me. I know it’s not that serious but I have no idea how to handle this and I feel like a 16y old that has a teenage crush.

Any Moroccans in Amman?

Moved here a week ago but I find it hard to connect w the local girls. I’m 26F, hit me up!!! Would also love to watch some World Cup games together.

I like the basic stuff like going to cafés and getting sweet treats, I love reading, walking and doing mat pilates. I’m into horse riding and tennis too.
