Cloudy water, two months old
I built my pond two months ago, and the water became very cloudy, greyish and smells like rotten egg now. I thought the water fountain and oxygenated plants would be enough but I don’t think so anymore.
I bought an aerator now, it has been 2 days. I know it takes time to everything normalise, 2/6 w.
I just would like to know if this is a normal process, should I keep calm? Any advice for the smell?

Saw this one on top of the frogbit and it escaped right after the photo was taken.

Pound visitor - Myathropa florea
At first I thought it was a wasp, but I googled it and it says it is Batman hoverfly, Myathropa florea.
Batman Hoverfly is actually a fly, that evolved to look like a wasp, and it seems that it lays its eggs near water sources.
what do you think?🤔

How to make the pond safe for birds bathing?
I created my wildlife pond in an old barrel. I tried to create a shallow area for birds to be able to bathing and drink water. However I did not imagine that magpies would try to bathing there. As everything is supported by bricks it was not enough for their size and weight, they did a mess and knocked out some pots under the water, I think it can be dangerously for them as it is right now. I want to do better and create a better support, I need some ideas to make a better support for shallow area.

Why the hair disappear when apply Preserve Length?
I am testing this new feature to create a fuzz hair in Blender. But when I apply the Preserve Length the hair disappear. It supposed to have the same result from this video https://youtu.be/1lpg2COI8_Y?t=876
