No success with Ferber or Pick Up-Put Down
Our baby is 7.5 months old and we currently are on a 3-nap “schedule” (9 am (1hr), 12:30 pm (1hr), 4pm (30min)). For bedtime we usually do bath time with the toddler around 6:15/6:30 followed by breastfeeding and a book before bedtime at 7 pm. Baby wakes around 6-6:15 most days.
We have tried pick up put down method to no avail and then moved to ferber. She’s been expected to soothe herself to sleep pretty much since 5.5 months old and to this day we still have nights with 25+ mins of crying before bedtime. Sometimes I have to nurse her again to get her down.
Then the real issue is night wakings… every 2-3 hrs STILL. We tried night weaning and after 6 days she continued to cry for 90+ minutes so we had to abort mission.
Please help me WHAT am I doing wrong???? I need ideas I am desperate for sleep and the constant screaming and crying is traumatizing.
