Recently purchased an Xbox, one year sub for gamepass essential (started September) and got an expansion card just a few days ago which includes one month free trial of gamepass ultimate.

When I tried to redeem it it’s stating that it will convert the remaining time I have with essential into less than half the time with Gamepass Ultimate. WTF?

Is there no way to use the one month trial for ultimate without foregoing the 11 months of essential I already paid for? Seems absolutely crazy that you are forced to do this.

I’ve made this recipe countless times (fruit gummies) and normally I would add unflavoured powdered gelatine to the emulsion (water, lecithin etc) while it’s hot, it melts and blends perfectly before adding fruit flavours.

On this occasion I decided to follow the usual advice of blooming the gelatine in cold water for 5-10mins before adding it to the hot liquid emulsion. It created a clumpy mess that was barely salvageable. I had a super fine mesh filter that removed the clumps and was still able to pour the mixture.

Same brand of gelatine, same quantity, exact same recipe, only difference was blooming on this occasion. And it was a complete failure.

My question is why? Should it only be bloomed when using gelatine leaf and not powder? I had assumed hydrating the gelatine would not cause this to happen and to be honest this has never happened when the gelatine was added directly to the hot mixture.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Looking to get a robovac and obviously Roomba came up as an option but heard a lot of issues about them, software support being silently cut off older models and other technical problems with them.

Can anyone give me some recommendations? Thanks
