Did I buy a lemon?
I bought a BES880 during the June Prime Day sale, and it worked well until late July, when the grinder started making a persistent knocking sound that’s similar to the noise it makes when something is stuck. I couldn’t resolve it, so I sent the machine in for service. That fixed the problem for about two months, but now the knocking is back, and I’m at my wit’s end. I’ve wasted several bags of beans trying to dial it in, and now trying to test the grinder out after I cleaned it up.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with the BES880? My more manual Breville has always worked well, and I’m tempted to switch back, but this machine would feel like such a waste of money.
