I can’t decide on my dress!

The wedding will be in a Tudor style mansion in July ‘27, and I’m going for an old world romantic overall vibe. I went in locked in to get a drop waist style, but have ended up loving the beadwork, the lace, or the classic a line. How did you girls decide? I am torn between 3, or 1 personally.

DJ recommendations pls

Hi everyone! We are planning a summer 2027 wedding in mainland Van. Currently searching for DJ’s who will take into consideration a multicultural playlist. We want to include and celebrate all sides of our family background.

Drop your recommendations below!

Thanks in advance.

Is it weird if the DJ we are hiring said he won’t play all the songs we’ve put on our wedding playlist?

One of the DJ’s I like to work with told us that he can play requested songs when we do our first dance or special timed songs. But then he said he “can’t play all the dance songs we’ve put on our playlist, because sometimes people don’t know what’s best for dancing”. While I do agree with that sentiment, we are pretty set on these songs (mostly famous dance songs from the past decades).

I don’t know how to make sure he doesn’t go ahead and add stuff we don’t like or care about. My best friend had a DJ and she specifically had asked for no country music and the guy played many country songs. She was pretty pissed.

How did you guys handle DJ’s?

Edit: this will be an intercultural wedding. So I need to make sure he doesn’t just abandon the dance songs which are specific to one side of the wedding party. If anyone had a two culture wedding, please weight in on that too.

Brock House or Cecil Green for wedding in July?

Hi everyone! My partner and I are planning a wedding for 2027. We can’t decide if we should go with CGPH or BH. It seems like the cost would be more or less the same. The deciding factor comes down to if we want to be fully indoors for dancing vs having the option of walking around outdoors and dancing outdoors at least until 10 pm at Brock House. Cecil Green does not allow guests to walk or be served alcohol on the outdoor parts of the premises. We have hold dates for both venues.

If anyone attended weddings or had their weddings at these two venues, could you please share your detailed experience and feedback?

Thanks so much in advance!
