Would anyone be interested in a small, holistic homeschool group? (East Gwillimbury)
I'm a mom of four, eldest daughter completing high school, homeschooling my 12-year-old daughter while my 1- and 2-year-old boys enjoy life.
Prior to this, I worked in finance, then transitioned to teaching at a private school, and also obtained my certification in holistic nutrition.
Now I impart financial knowledge, teach practical skills and prepare my children for life. We cook real food together, grow what we can (even through the winter), go on nature walks, and learn by actually doing things. We still do work, read, write and problem solve, it is just different.
My daughter has learned more about fractions through baking than any worksheet.
I've been wondering if other families might be looking for a holistic and hands on approach to learning.
And not necessarily for the child alone, but promoting healthier eating and lifestyles at home as well.
If it sounds like your kind of thing, comment or send me a message. I'd love to chat.
