Help with a OS project

Hello everyone, I need a little guidance with this. I'm newbie with Alpine and a very noob in this forum. I want to "create" (maybe the correct Word is a re spin or make a custom) an OS based on Alpine to repurpose old computers and arm based devices (raspberry pi as example) and turn them into a writerdeck, I want to create My own approach as all the material I found is not as lightweight and minimalist as I prefer. So, I need to know if there's a guide, tutorial or anything I could follow that could be easy for a noob.

* I'm noob in Alpine, but I'm not noob in Linux (I use arch btw hehehe) nor an expert

Help with a writting netbook

Hi guys. I'm new with tc but not new in linux, I have a question and I want to know if you could help me or guide me. I have an old laptop (I can remember the model but comes with HDD and has 2gigs of RAM) that I want to use as a writterdeck (the only purpose is to write texts in txt format or another minimal format). I instaled on the pc the latest tcp. My main goal is to boot the pc and show instead the desktop an editor vim-like and apart from editor, I want the posibility to sync with my other pc, I don't mind the protocol as it should be in my local network.
I tried to install vim (the package that comes in the distro repository) but I can navigate between files inside vim as the version is to old to support netrw. Has anyone has an idea how to achieve this?

Help with a new project

Hello everyone, I wanna hear opinions on a project I have in mind. I'm planning to mount My server and My rpi 3b+ on a wall, I mean hang it on as a painting (using proper screws and mount) and add it leds and using a esp32 to add things like:

  1. Turn PC and rpi independently (using optocouplers)

  2. Control a RGB led strip to change color and adapt it via pwm using a web dashboard

  3. Also display status from both pcs and display it into a LED screen 16x2.

  4. Sending certain commands via wifi (mqqt could be an option) to execute on the pcs

The first problem I face is the lack of pins and Power to make every thing, So My first solution to achieve that is the use of an Arduino mega to Power the esp32 (I forgot to add is a c3 super mini) and execute the heavy load as for example the turn of the pcs, control the LED strip and the esp32 for things like, showing the info in the display, having the dashboard, and execute the commands to the pcs and the info to the Arduino mega via uart.

What's your opinion or possible approach to My project?, is there another problem I'm not seeing?

Edit: also I want to turn on leds when a device is having problems like overheat or something.

Phone as DAP question

Hello everyone, I'm new in this world, but My question may not be relates to this community, if not, please let me know and I'll delete this post. In My case as I live in Argentina, the options for a cheap DAP I found are very expensive, I mean for ex a cheap DAP You mentioned costs 100 dollars, in My country it scales up to 1000 dollars, SO buying one now it's not an options rn.

So I decided to turn a old Xiaomi redmi note 11 into a dap. Today I debloated it deleting a lots of apps, changing the launcher and turning of certain options, but it's a better option to flash a other custom rom to the phone and start tweaking it from that point?
