For songs that arent on spotify, whats the best way to get them as a local file? Id love a bunch of John Frusciante songs and Red Hot Chili Peppers B Sides but they arent on spotify 😭. How do i get them? I own the CDs of most of these, so I dont feel bad as the artists can lose out of money as the songs are available to play
Looking for an mp3 for me and my daughter to share. We're both ADHD so I'm looking for a simple way to listen to music where I can't get sucked in to doom scrolling.
What I'm looking for:

- Decent battery life
- Decent storage or sd card space
- Doesn't cost an arm and a leg
Bonus points but not a deal breaker:
- No touch screen
- Bluetooth capabilities
I'm not an audiofile so I don't need crazy features and a hundred different file type options. I would even be fine with something retro as long as it doesn't sound awful. I just want to drown out my demons with some MCR without getting stuck scrolling. I miss my childhood mp3 player.
This is my mp3 Player. It's quiet old, but still works. I have a streaming service similar to Spotify (Deezer)and would like to download a playlist on to the Player. But I have no idea how.
I already searched for answers, but I can't find one explanation that doesn't assume a bit of knowledge. Thank you.

hello everyone. i found this mp3 player at the flea market today and the person stated it worked. yes, it does, but it wont do anything but the screen showed here. and when i put a battery in it, the screen turns blue but theres no text on it.
also, when i plug it in my computer, it shows something is plugged in but i cant enter the file or inspect it or anything. it sometimes switch to "ready" but even then i can’t access anything.
there’s no brand and of course, there’s no box.
does anyone know what brand it is or anything ? any help is appreciated.
i love this mp3 player and I had to showcase my vita. Since they both play my favorite music. And I’m happy that these 2 things have really given me a sense of real ownership. Games, music, shows, movies, are all at the control of corporate powerhouses. Yes these take more time and money but it’s worth it, at the expense of minor inconvenience. Ik a lot of people are really into the innioasis mp3 player rn but I enjoy my Chinese weird named brand player. It’s got a ton of storage and an alarm that I’ve used instead of my phone. For those who have it, I’d like to hear why you prefer it over other mp3 players, in the event I lose mine and consider buying the same model or trying something new

hey all, my friend's birthday is coming up (as well as our 2 year friendiversary) and lately, she's been trying to detox from social media and has been talking about wanting an mp3 player. So, naturally, I've been looking about, but I ave the budget of a broke high schooler (largely because I am a broke high schooler) The most I can do is 40, maybe 50 dollars for one, including stuff like a case, headphones, etc. So, do you guys have any recommendations?

I have a few sony plyers. Including these two, which have brilliant battery life. They're still working but I cant change whts on there. I cat take anything off or put anything on. The software, sonic stage is no longer working. I think sony stopped supporting i aaaaaages ago. Is there anyway round this? Is there other software (preferably drag ad drop? I've got a feeling that there probably isn't, but thought it would be worth a try. Grateful for anky advice. Thanks.

Hey guys, I got this cheap generic Mp3 player and I tried downloading songs on it using Lucida but after a few minutes the songs on it just stop playing and the song titles turn to the "?" symbol and I have to turn it off and on again to get it to go back to normal. Wondering if this is just user error or if I should use a different download site/something else because idk what to do

I found my father’s old MP3 player and I can’t find a charger for it, so I need to order a new one. I was curious if someone knew what cable I’d need (because I have no clue)! I really want to see what’s on this thing- I’m tempted to take the micro SD out and check, but I want to see if I can charge the mp3 player first.
I added photos of the whole mp3 player to see if that would help. I’ve also tried to look up the numbers on the back to see if I could find the exact model (even if it isn’t sold anymore), but I’ve had no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated! :)
Today I received the Y2. It looks amazing, and the sound quality is good, although not quite as good as the HiBy R1.
Now I need to decide whether to use the Y2 or the R1 as my main device.
I listen to both music and audiobooks. The HiBy R1 does not officially have a dedicated tab or app for audiobooks, so I installed a custom firmware version. The Y2, on the other hand, has an official Audiobooks tab and supports bookmarks, which the HiBy R1 does not have.
Sadly, there were no earphones included in the box. The information on their website is incorrect, so I emailed them about it. I'll see what they have to say.
I am so confused and lost, I am a teenager so i have zero experience with tech outside of phones but i really wanna get an mp3 player so i can listen to music without the temptation of my phone.
the main things i value are sound quality, organization, and storage. i love making playlists and expanding my music taste and its really important to me being able to sort stuff.
i currently use deezer to stream my music, and the headphones i have are airpods pro gen 3. idk if those are good or not recommendations on headphones that stream good quality and have /really/ good noise cancellation are welcome :3
i like buttons but i dont really care how the device looks, and im also so confused on how tech like this works and what the limitations are on how much i can mess with what music im listening to.
tldr: searching for mp3 player with high quality, ability to sort music, and good storage.
budget is prolly 150 at most and if it matters i mostly listen to punk and metal music so i would need something that goes loud lol
