It helps me sleep, and I can’t sleep without it. Hoping something kills me before the dementia kicks in I guess … hard to regret at this point; but I am worried.

Edit: thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your comments. I know subconsciously I wanted support, but didn’t realize how much until I received so many comments. Truly grateful and moved to make an appt to get on something less dangerous🙌🏻🫶🏻

Edit 2: WOW. I had no idea my post would blow up like this. I’m absolutely going to see a doctor this week and get hydroxyzine or trazadone and stop the Benadryl. I knew I was taking a risk, but the outpouring of comments really drove home what a legit serious risk it is. Thank you to everyone who took time to comment. I can’t reply to everyone, but I’m reading everything. Thank you for caring❤️

Edit 3: I have a doctor appt today to ask for trazadone or hydroxyzine. I’ll throw away the remaining diphenhydramine chloride when I pick up my prescription. Thanks again for all of your comments and concerns. You made a difference

I take 150mg-200 mg diphenhydramine chloride(aka Benadryl) a night even though I’m pretty sure it will give me dementia
