Nomos Club “Gulf Oil”

Wanted to refresh my Club with a “summer skin”.

Very happy how it looks. I think orange on the hands and minute marks goes well with orange stripe on the strap.

[Omega Aqua Terra Quartz] - underated gem

I have a few automatic and hand-wound watches, but this Aqua Terra blew me away. I bought it a while ago on the secondary market, unworn and in pristine condition with box and full documentation, and I would lie to say that I am not impressed.

It is accurate to a few seconds per month, the finishing is perfect, the bracelet is super comfortable, and the sizing is spot on for my 17.5 cm wrist.

It is a real GADA watch, and I understand that a lot of people can’t get over the fact that it’s quartz — but for me that is also a strong point that adds to its versatility.

Pictures don’t do it justice, since in direct light the contrast between the highly polished hands, indices, and textured dial looks so nice

My Omegas

Hi everyone,

Among the 3 watches I own, two are Omegas and the third is a Nomos.

I work in corporate banking, usually in a suit or business casual, so practicality is key. I adore my AT quartz, perfect size, perfect finish, and I don’t have to hassle with setting the time every few days or after a weekend off the wrist.

The Omega Genève I picked up 6-7 years ago for €200. Haven’t worn it much lately because my wife stole it. She put a beige strap on it and wears it constantly now, which honestly suits her perfectly.

For the next few years I might look at adding a diver, but this collection is just right for now.

Nomos Club 36 - after almost a year of daily wear

After owning Club 36 for close to a year now, it’s become the watch I reach for every single morning without thinking twice.

I wear it to the office with a suit, on weekends with a t-shirt and jeans, it just works. The older version with the longer lugs sits really well on my 17,5cm wrist, no overhang issues that people sometimes have.

Honestly can’t think of a better daily driver at this price point. For around 1000€ new you’re getting actual Glashutte heritage and in-house movement. The dial somehow looks both understated and interesting at the same time. The red seconds hand and the Arabic numerals give it just enough character without being loud about it.

I have no complaints after a year.

I am thinking of buying a sport bracelet to make it even more versatile.
