A frankly WAY TOO DEEP analysis of Reign of Nightfall Lore
After rewatching the entire story + FOOL Event P1 I have noted down everything I thought seemed lore relevant. I might have missed a few things here or there but ultimately this is the final result. Here are some notes:
- Voiced lines triumph over translated lines. Of course, that also means there's no actual spelling for the words so pardon me if they're written incorrectly.
- Took an embarassingly long time to deduce Nodus is the current continent, becuase nobody actually says "Gosh I love this continent we live in called Nodus". They say things like "I sail between Nodus and Santa". Translation often called it Southern Ocean Continent or Mainlaind or even China. However it once translated to 'Naze' which is exactly what Nodus is translated to.
- For the Shadowborn Abilities Index, I only wrote the abilities I was 100% sure. For example I'm sure characters like Liquidator and Candela have abilities. I'm also unsure whether Ghost has anything to do with the blue lights/lantern. And I'm pretty sure mistress has either a paper or a map related ability, but unless the story spells it out, I ain't putting it down.
- I also only placed people with actual sprites. So I didn't include, for example, the Security Guard in Fool Event who can sense shadow abilities.
- For specific locations (as in shops, houses, etc) I only entered those with a Name and a background. Otherwise they get a passing name.
- The story mentions 7 continents , though one is unknown. I don't know what the 6th one is. Maybe it IS nodus and I just merged those into two, but it'll remain that way until I get more evidence they're not the same place

- If you want to add things or issue corrections I would appreciate telling me exactly where your correction comes from "chapter 5" means 3 hours of research for something you might misremember. "chapter 5-11" is at least much more helpful.
