The rules
I am legitimately curious why administration won’t let go of the ridiculous rules. They know it’s hurting their reputation. Do they not care, or are they too deep into it to admit they are ridiculous? Is it ego at this point?

Just took the AAMC unscored practice and got a 514 after about 5 weeks of studying for 5-6 hours a day. I have 8 weeks until the test. Curious if anyone else has been in a similar position? What is a realistic improvement at this point. Still have all of the AAMC practice tests to take. Breakdown 130 Chm/phys and 128 on everything else.
I took college level precalc dual enrollment in HS. Honors stats in college. Do I need to take calc? None of the schools I want to apply to actually require it. Will it look bad not to have it? I have a 4.0 and would prefer not to take it, but don’t want to hurt my chances of acceptance.
Question for those who recently matched. With the new limit of 20 PM&R signals, did you apply for more than 20? Did you get interviews or matches with programs that you didn’t signal? Did you dual apply for another specialty?
Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly! FIU, FAU, UF, USF, UCF, FSU. What do you wish you knew? Regrets? Anyone super happy with their choice? Did anyone expect to be going to a FL school and get surprise merit somewhere else that changed their mind??
Curious to hear from those of you already in medical school. How does your actual cost of attendance compare to what the schools publish? Things like rent and food costs seem very low in the COA breakdowns.
Curious what recent grads are getting paid for MA jobs during a gap year?
If you were a Florida resident and aspiring PM&R Doctor, how would you rank the FL MD schools in order of preference?
