Debating a 1 level dip into Fighter on my Artillerist Artificer.

I'm joining a new campaign soon as a Warforged Artificer, Sage background. We're starting at level 3 and using point buy, so my starting stats (including +2 int and +1 con from background) are 8 strength, 14 dexterity, 15 constitution, 17 intelligence, 12 wisdom, and 8 charisma. My plan is to use a revolver with True Strike as my primary attack.

The title says the main dilemma. I'm considering taking a level in Fighter. The main reason is for +2 to hit with my revolver from the Archery fighting style, but the tiny bit of extra HP, access to Second Wind, and weapon mastery are all nice bonuses.

The main downside is, of course, that I don't start with my subclass. The slower spell slot progression is also unfortunate, as is the fact that it'll be longer before I can take a feat.

In short, I'm wondering how worth it this dip would be. I know it's a relatively strong option, but is the fighting style and weapon mastery enough to justify losing out on core class progression? If not, is there another way I could get the Archery fighting style, and is it even worth it? Thanks!
