I recently began replaying botw after 3 years without, and this weird horse had some interesting color combinations. The Grey socks with no feathers and the slightly more common white face and cream mane & tail. And of course the chocolate coat... annnnd the light hooves I just thought it was interesting and I haven't seen many with this exact set of combined features... or my memory is mistaken. Either way, beautiful horse.
Twilight princess wii version is slowly rising in price to the $30 and even $40 range which is very strange to me because... it was literally one of the launch titles for the wii and was the best selling zelda game before breath of the wild. For over a decade you could find twilight princess wii CIB going for $15 at most. The only "rare" variant of the wii version is the later copies having a white Nintendo logo and a non sparkly disc of I remember correctly I could ve completely wrong, but still.
I'm not the most well versed in modern gaming, but something that always irked me was when horses aren't animated well. I heard the developers of twilight princess even went horseback riding for note taking yet... Epona trots as if shes on tip-toes. And overall moves not very convincing, she bounces like she can defy gravity.
But I digress, we're talking about oot Epona.
The fact that actual rideable 3d horses was a new concept, Epona probably being the of the first created, makes me so proud. Even with limited boxy polygons she looks very well built, and something I noticed was she appears to be arabian or something in between. With her dished face and lean body, shes not the largest either. Also the fact that with the theory malon is part gerudo, perhaps the horse who only listens to her song from her mother is from gerudo valley in dna? Arabians are desert horses after all!
I spent a lot of time just riding her around to observe her different animations, particularly the way her hind legs move is very satisfying. She just emits aura.
