What is your preferred cutoff for newer champions to be added?

Who is the most recently released champion you would like to see added to league classic and why?

For example, subjectively I feel like aatrox is fine but yasuo I'm not so sure about, even though they were released in the same year.

Recent changes lead to less feedback for games

Hi everyone, not sure if someone else has already discussed this topic: I noticed that after you're done playing the game the little popup in the bottom right doesn't show up anymore where you had the chance to rate the game.

Also I think it's really weird how in the s&box menu I can't leave a review for a game I have played, I believe you have to start the game first or do it in the browser. Maybe I'm blind and missing something and this is just anecdotal evidence but after these changes I notice my game getting way less likes/dislikes/favorites/reviews even tho player count is still the same.

Also in the main menu multiplayer lobbies aren't displayed anymore, I thought that was pretty neat to see what's played and be able to easily join just on the starting screen.

Am I missing something? Have these changes been communicated to serve any purpose or did it just get changed for changes sake?

Early gameplay of my flying game Paperflot

If you would like to try Paperflot, your feedback would be greatly appreciated
https://sbox.game/lindenhillstudio/aeroflot

It's still a super early work in progress build, but playing with some of you in multiplayer has been great fun. There's also a singleplayer mode if you want to just practice.

Have you already thought about exporting your games?

Hi, been wondering how I will proceed with my current project. I really like the s&box eco system with the playfund etc. but am already thinking about if it would be beneficial to maybe make my game playable standalone, since I think 20$ is a big buy-in and I'd be happy to charge just a small amount to be able to reach a larger player base.

It's also a bit awkward to tell a friend that they can try my game to then have to tell them they have to buy a whole other game that costs 20$ to try my demo, having it a separate project would allow you to freely give out access to playtesters/friends etc.

Having the game playable in s&box AND as a standalone game would be cool I guess, maybe it would be possible to have both crowds join the same multiplayer games? Maybe there's a model there where the multiplayer aspect of each game could be played via s&box and the standalone version, and other aspects like Singleplayer are only available in the standalone version (if that is even technically feasible)

Have you thought about this as well? Would love to know your opinions and your plans for the eventual release of your projects :)

Of course first I should focus on making a good game first, but sometimes my mind wanders I guess.

S&box could be an amazing local multiplayer game for the steam machine

I'm really excited about the steam machine and feel like s&box could be an amazing fit, maybe even for local multiplayer games. I'm really passionate about local multiplayer but on PC and maybe even gaming in general it has totally fallen out of favor.

Of course local multiplayer isn't the target audience of s&box but I feel like more games could include some kind of local multiplayer which would be really cool, especially since the steam machine will be a great plug and play "console" for the living room.

Not sure how well you can already do split screen multiplayer setups in s&box as I haven't tried it myself and I haven't seen another game do it, maybe that's something that could be supported.

Also not sure if that's even feasible since s&box has whitelisting for third party libs, but if you'd manage to connect phones to the game, then you could also do some jackbox style games or social deduction games with secret information only being displayed on each players screens.

Having an option to Tag or flag games as supporting local multiplayer would be great for visibility for those types of players.

To support the steam machine experience, I feel like controller support could be improved to just make the navigation through the menus etc. much easier. Maybe different controller profiles. I think game devs should be incentivised to also think more about the controller experience (of course nobody should be forced too, but it would be cool).

What do you think, are you also excited about the steam machine in particular for the future of s&box? I really think it will be a no-brainer to own s&box one day, when even more high quality games are published and the player base grows.

What do you think about local multiplayer in s&box? Anyone else thinking about it in regards to s&box or has anyone tried incorporating it yet into their games? Is it too niche to expect devs to spend dev time on it?

Would love to have a discussion on this with you!

Probably a hard to answer question when not applied to any project in particular but I have a small party game for 2-8 players and due to some reason sometimes the host gets migrated (not really sure why, it even happens while the host is still in the game, there might be a brief network disruption)

After the host has been migrated the game state is completely out of whack, I guess because not everything is synced on all clients and there are problems with game flow thereafter. Therefore my question is, did you have to deal with this problem, if you are doing p2p multiplayer. If I can't have it work reliably then I might have to just kick everyone when the host gets disconnected. Just trying to get some insights what to look out for in general.

Thanks in advance!

Just a question, I'm right now starting to make some maps for my game and right now it's just a scene/prefab that is made up of other scenes. Now s&box has hammer for mapping, what are the actual benefits of using that over how I am doing it right now? Does it have performance benefits over having the stages be all scenes etc?

Would love to have your insight, I've fiddled around with hammer in csgo once but it was just way too confusing and not fun to use in the past, maybe that has improved?

Just some gameplay of the project I recently started porting from godot to S&box. In godot it was a local multiplayer only game but I really wanted to make it online multiplayer, since it's super hard to get real life friends to playtest with you on a consistent basis. Basically I want it to be a modern version of the monkey target minigame from monkey ball, with more maps and more mechanics etc.

Been having tons of fun working on it and playing it with some of you. It's a long way until it's where I want it to be, but I'm just taking it a day at a time. Coming from godot to S&box, it's been incredible how quick it was to get online multiplayer running.

In case you want to try it, I'd love to hear your feedback. It's still very much work in progress.
