Keep getting failed to feed on CC1 Cancas
Hey all, im about 80 hours into an 88 hour print so Im really looking for some help to save this.
My canvas is acting a bit off lately. Every color swap is giving my a failure to feed error. There's no tangles or anything that would prevent Canvas from feeding, when I hit retry, it heats up to temp, attempts to feed, and I have to seemingly help give the filament a little push through. I do feel like I hear a clicking and then it feeds fine. After that itll print find for a bit but itll happen again on the next color swap, all 3 colors are doing this at the same time.
Mind you, it was doing just fine for the last 3 days of printing.
Im out of town now but if I can get suggestions to try when I get home, it would be much appreciated!
UPDATE: I'm home now and caught it in the act. When the CANVAS is pushing filament up towards the head, it seems like it just can't anymore, like thevgears are trying to turn, butbeither they cant grip the filament, or arent strong enough. If I give the filament a little push, it gets the rest of the way. I think the click i was describing might better be the sound of something stuck getting unstuck.
UPDATE 2: Unfortunately I had to stop thevprint to start troubleshooting, good news its just some terrain for 40k and I got what is needed to print. After toying around with it I believe something in the print head, either the 4 to 1 or something in the extruder, are stopping just barely blocking the filament from entering. For example, if i push down on the 4 to 1, the filament is suddenly free to go into the spot its trying to get to. The CANVAS is fine, but it can't force it passed whatever is blocking it. At this point I think i just need to call in Elegoo support and see if they can do anything.
