Confused about Anki in school

Hey everyone! Starting this fall and I’ve used Anki for my MCAT prep and loved it. I used premade decks and made my own cards and got the hang of it. But my question is how do I use anki in med school?

I’ve heard of AnKing- but I’m not sure what that is and if I can use it for in-house exams.

People say don’t make your own cards because the volume of info is too large- and to use premade decks and then supplement your own cards to focus on any content gaps.

The panic is starting to kick in and I’m looking for some advice! My usual pen and paper method for studying in school and for the MCAT won’t help me anymore I fear 😂

Last minute acceptance

Hey all I wanted to know if anyone had experience with getting a very last minute acceptance to school? I was literally about to commit today and i got off a waitlist. Stoked because i really want to go to this school!

Im a bit stressed because AMCAS isn’t update so i can’t CTE to the new acceptance I got. Should I just call the school and say i want to commit to them? I removed my planned to enroll section from my previous school, and i paid the new deposit and started submitting forms and such.

Late to the Sankey game but here are my results!

Hey everyone, I’m a long time lurker of 3 or so years (and first time poster)! Graduated in 2023 but I wasn’t sure where I wanted to end up in healthcare. I was a “premed” drop out and pivoted tracks in college (I wasn’t sure if doing it for myself or for my family, or maybe I wasn’t confident in myself?). When I got out of college and realized I truly wanted to medicine so I went to 4 other universities/colleges to complete my pre-reqs, worked, and studied for the MCAT. I honestly had no clue how this cycle would go, but I feel blessed 🙏

Experiences:

- Resident Assistant for a year
- Medical Assistant for 1.5 years
- was in a club or two of minor significance lol
- ED/trauma tech for 3 years
- Red Cross volunteer for 1.5 years
- hella shadowing

- 509 MCAT (123 CARS lol), 3.6ish sGPA

To those who take time out of their day to teach, motivate, and inspire students navigating through this insane journey, thank you so much 🙏.

School decision help!

Hi all, long time lurker in both here and the premed subreddit! I am super lucky to have had a great DO and MD cycle, but with CTE deadlines coming up, I am having trouble with school decisions. Currently I’m between Hackensack and Drexel. The cost of attendance seems to be the same ish (plus or minus ~10k with NJ rent).

I was wondering if any current/past students could share their stories on either school!
